Halloween Campout at the La Jolla Indian Reservation!

Here are some fabulous shots from my weekend at the La Jolla Indian Reservation just north of San Diego. I was the walrus for Halloween so enjoy pics of the "cover girl" walrus shoot:)

So Cal Decompression 2009

So to "wind down" after burning man, the majors city's that participate have decompression parties to celebrate and bring the same ideals home from burning man to allow people who don't go to Nevada to participate to get a taste of the burn. This was San Diego's Decompression. Held at a private resort in Jacumba, CA- within miles of the Mexican Mountain ranges, hot and cold springs were available for our use:) 2 nights and 3 days of camping, music, art and freedom of expression. My personal favorite was a yoga class held in the white pyramid building (the temple on the resort) where the instructor channeled the King's more health conciencous side as he instructed us on how to loosen up our hips and bodys' Elvis style. In the pictures are Kristoff (of course) and my new friends Peter and Nicole. Enjoy:)

LovEvolution Parade!!!!

The Love Parade is an interactive parade/dance party in downtown San Fransisco. It is a partner festival to a parade that started in Berlin after the fall of the Berlin Wall. See in 2003, the city denied the parade a permit and the event moved to San Fransisco. This parade is the largest single-day electronic music event in America. Last year 120,000 people attended!
This parade also provides music scholarships, equipment for schools and support for at-risk intercity youth.
We danced and hooped all day long at the parade and after party! On Friday we went to visit the San Fransisco Museum of Modern Art and on Sunday we walked across the city to the Museum of the Sciences. Wow- what an awesome adventure:)

Pics include these crazy people on the light pole, Kristoff and Mimi (a new friend who is a DJ who spins at many of the partys I go too). Also me and the Walrus! (coo coo cachoo!) I made my costume special for LoveFest and will be posting youtube videos soon!

Symbiosis 2009!

Kristoff and I did not make it to Burning Man this year but we soon heard about a festival that was said to be even better than the burn. So we ventured to Yosemite National Park near San Fransisco CA. We had a fabulous time- camped out with an amazing group of people who were all very open minded, creative, healthy and friendly! We made tons of friends and connections for other events and also Burning Man/Symbiosis next year! We did have a bit of a mishap when we lost the keys hiking but I suppose we exchanged the keys with the Universe for a few more days in Yosemite! All in all I highly recommend the event and the Park.

The pictures include the cube- which was soooo popular with people passing by- they would stop and play for 30 mins or more sometimes!

Brazil Day 2009!

I had the honor of helping some very awesome new friend put together a hoop performance for a parade and hoop demonstration. We all officially met on Saturday though we had bumped into each other before in various hoop circles. We put on a 15 minute demo with a 3 minute choreographed routine (to be posted on youtube shortly...) and then hooped it up all the way down the parade route!!! One thing is for sure- we had an incredibly hoopy Brazil Day and hope you enjoy the pictures:) My friend Lara is standing on my legs in the acro photo and the very last photo-she is a nurse! The new face is Kathleen- she flew to Peru this morning to visit her family! The first picture is at a Hookah Lounge in Pacific Beach (PB) can you find my friend Kristoff?

VvvVVvvVEGASvvVVvvV

I had a really amazing weekend in Vegas over labor day- I explored a lot of the hotels and tourist attractions with my friend Kristoff!!! After a trip to the Circus Circus to ride the rollarcoaster we made our way to the "Top of the World" on the Stratosphere hotel/casino (pic) I also saw both the Fountain Show and the chocolate fountain at the Bellagio- wow how amazing- can you believe I didn't even buy any chocolate there!! Don't worry- I had chocolate covered strawberries in NyNy later:) We made our way to the Venetian for a look at another corner of the world. The best part of this incredible trip was definitely seeing Cirque Du Soliels' Love- a show about the Beatles! What an amazing show and experience. Thanx so much to Alethea and Erik for letting us stay at the Big Horse Bar and Hotel!!! Can't wait to see you again!!!

El Centro, CA

This place reminds me a bit of Delaware- its very flat but its surrounded by mountains and 115* outside. I have a great place and as you can see- I have made myself very comfortable. The livingroom has 9ft ceilings and plenty of space for practicing my circus arts:)The picture of the hoops is my newest toy- we call it DE CUBE!!! Its used as a juggling prop- but you spin it around like a hoop. I took it on the campout to Angeles National Forest which I will post pics for next. Come for a visit and we can still get to San Diego in 2 hours, LA in 3 hours, and Vegas in 5 hours. I am having a great time though- but planning for a trip back to the East Coast in December!!!!

Sundazee Party

So for anyone who has never heard of Burning Man- look it up:) These are friends of mine from San Diego who attend this yearly festival in the Nevada desert. Though they have been on me all year to go- I decided to skip it this year so I could be better prepared next year- there is no money allowed at the Burn- you must bring everything you need or be prepared to barter. There is also only biking and walking allowed- some vehicles but most are art projects more than transportation. This is a party in a backyard that I attended-the people who own it build structures and tents at Burning Man.
