Friends along the way

All in all, it was a pretty crazy, spontaneous, struggle of a trip but I gained a whole lot from it and now I know that I can put my whole trip in the hands of other people and still have an amazing time:) Here are random pics of me and friends: Andrea, Sheri and I, and me doin a handstand, Greta and Jenna!! Mark and I, Eric and I, Raven, Colin and Jenna in some hoops...Laury and me, Elle and me:)

Kentucky Horsepark

Some favorites

First is me and Badge, then me and Comet, then Mark and Badge- they are soooo big! But love the camera as you can tell. The shadow images are me in the "Big Barn" where Erik's horses are staying this month. It is one of the biggest wooden barns in the world!!

Pool and Shadow fun at the Hotel in Fort Smith Arkansas

Here's what Mark, Greta and I did while we were in Fort Smith. Erik spent his day a bit differently but I think we had way more fun!!!!

LA to Vegas- also known as "What was I thinking!??!"

Well I am back from an amazing adventure- one that kept me so busy I had barely enough time to handle the daily things I needed to accomplish let alone blogging!!

My adventure began on Thursday July 2nd when Erik Martonovich picked me up in L.A. Check him out on his own site for BIG HORSE PRODUCTIONS out of Vegas! The first picture is from the first leg of our journey- transporting Odyessey (Valley View Vaulters horse for the competition) from LA to Vegas. We had a solid 6 hours to get to know each other and wow did I learn alot right away about how Erik does things. Everything is bigger, faster, stronger and just plain better when Erik is putting it together. The other pictures are of the tractor trailor we would use to transport ourselves, 6 horses and of course a whole lot of stuff to Kentucky. I had never been in a tractor trailor and this one was specialy designed to transport Eriks team of EIGHT Belgian Horses to and from shows across the country. Erik does a Roman Riding act with a team of 8 and with a few friends/vaulters Alethea and Greta. It has got to be an amazing site.

By the time we got to Vegas it was pretty late but I was informed that we were now on "Vegas Time" which meant we would likely be up until sun rise each morning. We practiced vaulting that very first night from 12- 3 am. I have never had so much fun vaulting! At first I was really thinking vaulting at this time of night could not go well but the curious part of me wouldn't let go of the idea that Erik was going to let me on one of his beautiful horses. I couldn't resist! I mounted first try though it was a big bigger of a mount than I am used to- I still made it and even got some quick pointers from Erik on my stand. In 2 go's on the horse I went from a horrible wobbily stand to a clean solid stand. Amazing- I could not wait to see what I would learn next!
